My brilliant wife bought me Merlot Salt for Valentine's Day. So I made these quick-roasted almonds with Merlot Salt, chilli flakes, garlic, and lime zest. Brilliant.
I used the basic roasting method I learnt from What Katie Ate, with a few changes:
- Preheat oven to 220C
- Mix all the spices together in a bowl (Merlot salt, chilli flakes, garlic, lime zest.)
- Roast almonds for 10 minutes on a tray, evenly spread
- Toss the hot almonds in the spices, and leave them to cool.
- Serve with a pale ale
